Jujutsu Kaisen is moving forward this year in print as its anime continues to work on season two. All eyes are on the franchise this week thanks to its US movie launch and a brand new chapter. It doesn’t hurt that Yuta Okkotsu is leading the new release, and the new chapter ends with a big domain expansion teaser.
If you are caught Jujutsu Kaisen these days, you’ll know that Yuta has been leading the charge for over a month at this point. Creator Gege Akutami brought the wizard back into the picture after Megumi and Yuji completed their first Culling Game fights. Right now, Yuta is up against two of the strongest fighters in the game, so it’s no surprise that they’re testing his mettle.
In fact, both men were convinced that they had Yuta on the ropes, but he is considered Gojo’s protege for nothing. The special level wizard released his new manifestation of Rika and took his enemies for a loop. That’s when the couple felt it was time to use their own domain extensions, so Yuta had no choice but to call his attacker.
Of course, this is a first for the Jujutsu Kaisen Wizard. Characters like Gojo and Megumi have been open about their domain extensions, but Yuta has kept a tight lid on his. The character has rarely needed such power given her inherent cursed energy and relationship with Rika. However, when threatened by two high-level wizards, Yuta has no choice but to surpass their domains with his own. That is, assuming the technique is as incredible as fans anticipated.

I mean, after all, Yuta is pretty much the wizard Yuji and Megumi hope to become. His power is off the charts and his humble demeanor is more endearing than it has any right to be. And if we know Yuta at all, you can bet his domain extension will be as understated as it is jaw-dropping, because that’s exactly what Yuta is.
