How to Unlock Genshin Impact Sumeru Waypoint and Underwater Domain
Here is how to unlock the underwater waypoint and domain in Sumeru in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact 3.0 is finally out, alongside the new Sumeru region. With a whole new area of the map to explore, unlocking waypoints is necessary if players want to be able to quickly move around the new area and keep track of where they’ve been before. In Sumeru, one of these new Waypoints is underwater, next to a new area. Here’s how players can unlock them.
Twitter user @michikeys created a simple tutorial for players trying to unlock underwater structures. First, players should start with the Statue of Seven closest to the Underwater Waypoint. From there, players should position themselves to face where the underwater waypoint is and they should see a Dendro teleporter (a point that allows players to transform into an elemental ball and travel extremely quickly in the air). Players must travel using this point, move forward, then turn left to see the next of these points.

From there, players must fly over the lake and waterfall, then glide to the entrance at the top of the waterfall. There, players must defeat all nearby enemies and release the seal mechanisms therein. Once the seal is released, players can go deeper into the area and descend a steep slope, where they will find four Dendro totems.
Use the Dendro item to light up all four totems (two of them are inside the Root Seals, which must be destroyed with a Claymore attack and a Dendrogranum). To get Dendrogranums, there is a large cylindrical stone covered with branches in the area, players just have to attack it with Dendro and then defeat the enemy that is summoned. Another is inside a seal that players need to fight their way behind.

Once all the Totems are lit, players will be able to trigger the mechanic that was just unlocked. This will cause the water to drop, allowing players to unlock the Waypoint. To unlock the Fragment of Childhood estate, players will need to return to the location of the Dendro totems and head under the large mechanism. From there, players must kill all three enemies and enter through the large circular door.

Finally, players only need to complete the puzzle using Dendrogranum to unlock the domain.
